I am eagerly awaiting his new book while I reread this game changer. I started trading back in 2013 and have read easily 50-75 books trading and market related. I literally cannot get enough of it! It was this book here that after I read it in 2015 I started screening for stocks completely differently. The lessons I have read here has helped put me into life changing winning plays. I cannot wait to read his new book and continue my journey trading.
5 stars are not enough to rate this book. Reading it was a life changing event for me.Having next to no knowledge in trading, I always saw the market as a place for the chosen few. Trading was some kind of grey activity in my mind. In my ignorance, I often associated it with betting.Minervini destroyed all my cliches detailing his rigorous, analytical, risk-first SEPA trading system, while taking me on a trip from his early days to his success. He also puts great emphasis on the psychology behind the market and the average trader giving you a full perspective of what successful trading entails.Mark is a great motivator. Even though the book has a technical nature, he acts more like a friend than a teacher. He is constantly presenting facts with a no BS approach.Highly recommended.
Mark Minervini has done an outstanding job with this book. Straightforward, concise, and no nonsense approach to equity evaluation and fundamental analysis. He offers very useful understanding of what goes on behind the scenes to help understand much of the spin and smoke and mirrors that are used both in companies accounting practices and forward guidance. A fresh perspective to the evaluation of securities, as well as the timing of trade executions. In addition to sharing knowledge that has been acquired over decades of experience, the reader is given the perspective of a highly successful trader. I also appreciate the absence of the typical useless information that is so abundant in many of the books that I've read. I truly couldn't put this book down. Having read all of the classics, as well as many others, this book is top shelf in my library. The value contained within these pages is worth so much more than the price of this book! Thank you Mark Minervini, for an outstanding book!
As most other traders on the globe, I myself have read numerous books on finance and trading in particular. Most of the reputable books written by well known authors in the trading realm. I came across Mark's book because I have subscribed to his tweeter feed. At first I wasn't sure if he was just always promoting his book to compensate from the sales. But I did more research on him and his background. On his website he mentions his annual event that he hosts, and last year he had David Ryan as guest speaker at that event. If you haven't heard of David Ryan, please read Market wizard by Jack Schwager. I said to myself if David Ryan had written a foreword to this book I should at least read it and evaluate it's content. I must say I was very impressed.Literally, this book may become a classic, he really explains what is vitally important to look for when searching for good companies to trade in. I found that the last two chapters in the book are the most important and he emphasizes on the importance of risk management. He brings clarity on the stop loss rule and the mathematical results if your stock is 10% below your purchase price and you haven't sold it. Mark mentioned in a podcast on @don'ttalkaboutyourstocks, that he had wanted to add chapters based on when to sell to keep most of your gains,but his publisher said it would be too much content. I realized after many of my trades, that the selling part is actually more important than the buying part. Well, he pointed out that if he were to write another book he'll add that in.For those of you contemplating on purchasing this book, at the price that it sells for it is worth the investment. It will save you the cost of the book and more if you apply his concepts. I would imagine that this book could be good for beginners, but only after you have read William O'Neil's book: How to make money in stocks, first. Basically Mark brings clarity to many of the questions in that book.Congratulations Mark on a well written book.

Every high achievement begins with desire, imagination, and information. Mark gives you the third and very critical component. He clearly explains the reason behind. You've heard it said "The devil is in the details".. I say "The GENIUS is in the details" Mark is a Master trader ,but more than that he is a Master teacher...If the desire is within you, then let your imagination soar, then GET the information, Let his genius become your genius... In my opinion the two most informative and revealing books ever written about the understanding and instruction of the stock market are Marks two books "Trade like a stock Market Wizard" and "Think and Trade like a Champion" and btw I highly recommend his Master Trader program... You have the Desire, you have the Imagination, NOW get the Information... Thank you Mark Minervini for your incredible books..RVG
Incredible read. I hate reading but Marks book had me interested so much I've read it twice, and plan to read it again. Second time I read it with a note book, which I highly recomend. This book is basically a text book over Marks strategy. I also recommend reading his second book "Think and trade like a champion" which is really a part 2 of "Trade like a stock market wizard". Then "momentum masters" which is a Q&A with Mark Minervini, David Ryan, Dan Zanger, and Mark Ritchie II.Please do yourself a favor and take the time to read these. His strategy works.
